Software Engineer, Infrastructure (AI)

Location: Remote in the United States or Canada

Salary: $170,000–$290,000 annually, plus equity.

What you will do

• Own and evolve core cloud infrastructure across multiple data centers and regions.
• Design architecture for rapidly increasing scale and deliver new infrastructure capabilities for customers.
• Improve container scheduling and startup speed, support growing AI workloads, and build primitives for massively parallel data processing.
• Develop and optimize internal traffic routing, load balancing, observability, and platform reliability.
• Debug production issues across the infrastructure stack and participate in the engineering on-call rotation.
• Collaborate with engineers to keep the platform stable, predictable, secure, and performant.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience building and scaling cloud infrastructure.
• Experience developing, operating, and debugging production systems at scale.
• Experience building, operating, and scaling Kubernetes clusters or similar container orchestration systems.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or Ansible.
• Experience with Linux kernel or container optimization, observability tools, and hosting PostgreSQL or similar data stores at scale.
• Security hardening experience, particularly for untrusted workloads.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Datadog, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry.
