Data Analyst (Aerospace)

Location: Hybrid role near Long Beach, California, with some work required onsite. Other listed location: Denver, Colorado. Applicants must be eligible to work with U.S. government-controlled space technology under ITAR regulations.

Base salary: $80,000–$150,000 per year, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Partner with stakeholders to translate business objectives into analyses, reports, dashboards, metrics, and reusable data solutions.
• Explore, clean, reconcile, and validate operational and infrastructure data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities.
• Build and maintain SQL queries, analytical datasets, recurring reports, dashboards, and ad hoc analyses.
• Test and execute data models, reporting processes, and analytical workflows while documenting issues and improvement opportunities.
• Establish consistent metrics, data definitions, documentation, quality checks, and reporting practices.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional experience in data analysis, business intelligence, operations analysis, finance, product analytics, or a related field.
• Experience independently owning analytical projects from requirements gathering through delivery.
• Strong SQL skills, including complex joins, aggregations, CTEs, window functions, and query validation.
• Experience building and maintaining dashboards, reports, datasets, or analytical tools for business stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, organization, judgment, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Must be located near Long Beach, California and able to work onsite as required; must meet U.S. ITAR eligibility requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Grafana, or a similar visualization platform.
• Experience validating data models, reporting pipelines, transformations, or workflows across multiple systems.
• Knowledge of data modeling concepts, data warehouses, ETL/ELT, dbt, lakehouse concepts, Git, APIs, Python, or R.
• Experience improving data quality, automating reporting, documenting processes, or establishing analytics standards.
