Senior Data Analyst (AI)

Location: San Francisco, United States; hybrid

Salary: $170,000–$200,000 per year, plus equity. Actual compensation depends on skills, experience, and location.

What you will do

• Launch the foundational BI tool and build executive and team dashboards.
• Create executive- and board-level Finance and go-to-market reporting, including ARR waterfalls, pipeline, funnel, and deal-risk analysis.
• Analyze target-versus-actual gaps, pipeline health, margins, billing issues, and forecast drivers.
• Build and maintain dbt models, the governed data layer, and the semantic layer.
• Develop the context layer and agentic harness for generating dashboards and insights with testing and review before release.
• Partner with Finance and GTM to turn business needs into scalable workflows and data products.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a data analyst or senior data analyst, ideally in a high-growth B2B SaaS company.
• Strong SQL and hands-on experience with a cloud data warehouse such as BigQuery or Snowflake.
• Experience building and maintaining dbt models, semantic layers, dashboards, and self-serve analytics in tools such as Omni, Sigma, or Looker.
• Working knowledge of Finance and GTM metrics, including ARR, retention, bookings, pipeline coverage, CAC, gross margin, and forecast analysis.
• Practical experience using agentic tools such as Claude Code or Codex, with demonstrable work.
• Ability to work with messy data and communicate effectively with senior leadership and technical and non-technical colleagues.

Nice to have

• Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines, Airflow, Dagster, Fivetran, or reverse ETL.
• Experience at an AI company or early-stage startup.
• Experience with Salesforce, Chargebee, finance reporting, ERP systems, or month-end close.
• Python or TypeScript, Git, code review, Evidence, Streamlit, or Observable.
• Experience building agent tooling such as MCP servers, agent harnesses, or CI for analytics code.
