Product Manager, Orchestration Platform (Fintech)

Location: USA; currently fully remote, transitioning to a hybrid hub-centric model in Miami, New York, or San Francisco

Base salary: $123,000–$158,000 annually in Miami or $150,000–$192,000 annually in New York and the Bay Area

What you will do

• Define the orchestration platform’s boundaries, guarantees, primitives, and non-goals.
• Own the sequencing and migration strategy for onboarding additional products beyond remittances.
• Define workflow interfaces, idempotency, retry and compensation semantics, timeouts, state visibility, and SLAs.
• Build the documentation, onboarding, and observability tooling needed for self-service platform adoption.
• Run the platform engineering roadmap and own metrics including workflow success, completion time, manual intervention, stuck-workflow resolution, and integration time.
• Partner with engineering, operations, compliance, and finance on architecture and platform decisions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of product management experience, including at least 3 years owning a platform, infrastructure, API, or backend product used by engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of asynchronous processing, eventual consistency, at-least-once delivery, idempotency, compensation, rollback, and long-running workflow failures.
• Experience with payments, remittances, banking, ledgers, or transaction processing, including settlement, reconciliation, payouts, and compliance screening.
• Exceptional written communication and the ability to create dependable specifications and product contracts.
• Comfort querying data, reading dashboards, and investigating anomalies independently.
• Ability to challenge internal stakeholders and make sound platform trade-offs.

Nice to have

• Experience with Temporal, Cadence, Step Functions, Camunda, or another workflow or durable-execution engine.
• Experience owning platform reliability outcomes.
