Director, Actuarial (Health Insurance)

Location: Fully remote within the United States, excluding Alaska, Delaware, Hawaii, Louisiana, Montana, North Dakota, Oklahoma, West Virginia, Wyoming, and U.S. Territories. Daily work is performed from a home office, with occasional travel for team meetings and company events.

Base pay: $198,720–$260,820 per year in California, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, and Washington; $178,848–$234,738 per year in other eligible locations.

What you will do

• Lead regional pricing across multiple states and oversee end-to-end actuarial pricing processes for a designated portfolio.
• Own decisions involving actuarial methodologies, model enhancements, and business initiatives.
• Analyze financial risks and opportunities to guide pricing strategy, network strategy, forecasts, and mitigation approaches.
• Provide actuarial perspectives in discussions with Finance, P&L, Product Development, and other functions.
• Mentor, coach, and develop Associate Directors, Managers, Analysts, and other actuarial team members.
• Shape actuarial best practices for automation, documentation, stakeholder communication, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or four years of equivalent experience.
• Fellow of the Society of Actuaries or progressing toward fellowship.
• 10+ years of actuarial and/or quantitative analysis experience.
• Ability to work remotely from an eligible U.S. location.
