Group Underwriting Consulting RX (Health Insurance)

Location: Hybrid role with three days in the office and two days remote; available in Richardson, Texas, or Chicago, Illinois.

Base pay: $92,700–$167,500 annually, with eligibility for an annual incentive bonus.

What you will do

• Analyze and price HCSC RX business to support profit, growth, service, and expense objectives.
• Quote and rate proposals, project renewals, and prepare annual settlements and experience reports.
• Provide expert consulting on underwriting, performance guarantees, pricing, and other financial considerations.
• Determine pricing and monitor accounts to maintain profitable performance.
• Apply pricing strategies and financial analysis methods within the health insurance industry.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics or accounting.
• At least five years of underwriting experience.
• Advanced knowledge of mathematical applications used in underwriting, including discounts, proportions, percentages, business mathematics, and algebra.
• Knowledge of state and federal legislation related to group health underwriting.
• Availability to work in a hybrid schedule with at least three office days per week in Richardson, Texas, or Chicago, Illinois.
• Visa sponsorship is not available.

• Experience with major pharmacy benefit managers.
• RX broker experience.
• Intermediate Excel skills.
