AVP, National Partner Underwriting - Remote

Location: Remote within the United States; travel to agency partners and regional offices may be required for up to 25% of the time.

Salary: USD 176,000–227,000 per year, plus incentive plan eligibility.

What you will do

• Lead underwriting strategy and execution for national agency and broker partner accounts.
• Manage underwriting teams and oversee risk selection, pricing, profitability, and portfolio performance.
• Build strategic relationships with national brokers and aggregators and drive production across the National Territory.
• Collaborate with product, actuarial, claims, and risk control teams on underwriting guidelines and product enhancements.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging risks to guide underwriting and partner strategies.
• Lead talent development, compensation planning, succession planning, regulatory compliance, and performance reporting.

Requirements

• Deep knowledge of commercial property and casualty underwriting, especially large and national accounts.
• 7–10 years of commercial underwriting experience, including 5+ years in a leadership role or managing large or national accounts.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience with data analysis, pricing strategies, risk assessment, insurance regulations, leadership, negotiation, and relationship management.
• Must be based in the United States.
