Lead Actuary (Healthcare)

Location: Remote nationwide within the United States; occasional travel to company offices for training or meetings may be required.

Salary: $129,300–$177,800 per year, plus eligibility for a bonus incentive plan.

What you will do

• Lead a team responsible for reporting and analytics supporting value-based provider relationships and strategy.
• Analyze financial, economic, and operational data to support strategic and business decisions.
• Provide actuarial support for provider negotiations and engage directly with providers.
• Partner with Market Operations, Provider Experience, and other stakeholders on relationship management and analytics.
• Oversee internal reporting processes and help shape strategies and policies for value-based provider reporting.
• Develop new reports and visualizations for evolving business needs while resolving complex issues independently.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• FSA or ASA, plus a relevant advanced degree, recent and relevant work experience, and/or other relevant professional designations.
• MAAA designation.
• Ability to communicate ideas effectively in written and oral forms.
• Ability to work remotely from within the United States and maintain a dedicated workspace that protects member PHI and HIPAA information.
• Home internet with at least 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speeds.

Nice to have

• Experience across multiple actuarial functions, such as modeling, pricing, rate filing, reporting and analysis, reserving, or trending.
• Advanced technical expertise in SQL, VBA, and data visualization.
