General Liability Sr Technical Specialist

Annual base salary: $94,400–$155,800, plus eligibility for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What you will do

• Manage a high-complexity caseload of bodily injury and property damage liability claims and related litigation from first notice of loss through resolution.
• Investigate coverage, liability exposure, bodily injury, property damage, contractual indemnity issues, and claim damages; establish appropriate reserves and authorize payments.
• Develop resolution strategies, coordinate internal and external resources, and manage multi-party settlement negotiations.
• Partner with counsel on litigation management strategies involving mediations, trials, arbitration, and extended resolution timelines.
• Communicate with customers, opposing counsel, vendors, and internal stakeholders while maintaining accurate claim records.
• Mentor and coach Claim Professionals, improve best practices, and adapt to AI-related technology implementations and digital tool rollouts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma or GED required.
• At least three years of bodily injury liability, property damage liability, or comparable claims experience; four years of bodily injury claim and litigation experience preferred.
• Active adjuster license where required by state law, with relevant insurance license requirements to be completed within three months of starting.
• Advanced claims management systems, Microsoft Office, and enterprise technology skills.
• Strong knowledge of insurance principles, policy language, endorsements, exclusions, regulations, and fair claims practices.
• Advanced analysis, communication, conflict resolution, negotiation, organization, and customer service skills.
