Associate Video Producer (AI/Technology)

Location: Must reside in the San Francisco Bay Area and work from the San Francisco Dogpatch offices at least three days per week; additional office days, travel, and weekend work may be required for filming schedules.

Salary: $180,000–$200,000 per year, depending on skills and experience.

What you will do

• Support Senior Video Producers in taking videos, podcasts, interviews, and editorial projects from concept through publication.
• Research guests, companies, technologies, and topics; prepare interview questions, briefs, descriptions, and other editorial materials.
• Schedule and conduct pre-interviews, coordinate guests and shoot logistics, review edits, and prepare projects for final approval.
• Edit short-form clips, transcribe recordings, and organize production notes, schedules, calendars, files, transcripts, and review links.
• Publish episodes across YouTube, podcast platforms, and other channels, ensuring titles, descriptions, thumbnails, chapters, and transcripts are ready.
• Support shoot days by welcoming guests, preparing sets and equipment, operating cameras when needed, and maintaining production gear.

Requirements

• Strong interest in startups, AI, technology, and the internet, with an understanding of startup culture and the topics covered by the organization.
• Some experience producing or editing video, podcasts, or other media.
• Strong writing, research, editorial judgment, clear communication, and the ability to explain technical topics.
• Excellent organization, reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple production projects.
• Hands-on familiarity with cameras, audio, and video production equipment, including safe lifting of up to 50 pounds for production gear and setup.
• Work authorization or visa sponsorship is not provided.

Nice to have

• Experience as an assistant producer, production assistant, video editor, podcast producer, or editorial assistant.
• Experience creating independent video, podcast, or other media projects.
