Associate Counsel (Digital Assets)

Location: Hybrid role based in San Francisco, California or Atlanta, Georgia, United States. The position requires travel 5–10% of the time and is performed in an office setting.

Salary: $152,900–$237,000 USD per year, with potential bonus, equity, and sales incentive payments where applicable.

What you will do

• Advise Commercial & Money Movement Solutions teams on product development, deployment, and commercial strategy.
• Provide legal guidance on commercial, regulatory, intellectual property, privacy, and contracting matters, including stablecoin and digital asset products.
• Review product marketing materials, public relations content, and corporate communications.
• Assess regulatory changes and their impact on hirify.global, its partners, and digital asset initiatives.
• Partner with regional legal, business, compliance, and specialist teams on U.S. and international matters.
• Train business teams, manage external counsel, and support complex legal and regulatory initiatives.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of post-JD work experience or an international equivalent.
• Valid license to practice in the state where the role is located, or the ability to become registered as in-house counsel.
• J.D. degree or international equivalent, with strong academic credentials.
• Experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements and managing complex transactional matters.
• Knowledge of privacy, competition, financial regulatory, and commercial law.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, advise business clients, and work independently and collaboratively.

Nice to have

• Three or more years of relevant post-JD experience.
• In-house and law firm experience.
• Experience in payments, financial services, technology, fintech, or digital assets.
• Familiarity with stablecoins, blockchain-based payment systems, or emerging payment technologies.
