Advanced RF/Antenna Engineer (RFID)

Location: Hybrid role requiring at least 3 days per week in the Holtsville, New York office and 2 remote days in the United States. Up to 10% domestic and international travel may be required.

Salary: $122,800–$184,200 annual base pay, plus a target annual cash incentive of 12% of base pay.

What you will do

• Own complex board-level RF circuit and antenna designs from architecture and simulation through lab debugging, compliance, and factory bring-up.
• Design and integrate RF receivers, transmitters, antennas, power supplies, and supporting circuits across the 800MHz–8GHz range.
• Conduct part selection, prototyping, bench debugging, root-cause analysis, EMI/EMC troubleshooting, and validation.
• Lead RF system implementation throughout the product design cycle and support several complex technical projects.
• Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams and external JDM/CM partners to bring RFID products to market.
• Contribute to product specifications, technology roadmaps, quality improvements, and patent generation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience or master’s degree with 4+ years of experience.
• Professional experience in board-level RF circuit design, antenna design, and antenna measurements.
• RF impedance matching expertise and understanding of Smith Charts.
• Hands-on experience with VNAs, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, RF power meters, testing, troubleshooting, matching, and soldering.
• Design experience with Class A/AB power amplifiers up to 5W and RF simulation software such as ADS or CST.
• Ability to work from the Holtsville office at least 3 days per week and remotely from the US 2 days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with RF design in the 800MHz–8GHz range, UHF RFID readers, RFID or UWB system-level design, and RF receiver design.
• Experience with RF power amplifier design and measurements.
• Familiarity with power supply regulators for RF circuits and power amplifiers.
• Experience with ADS, CST, Cadence, schematic capture, and PCB layout review tools.
• Experience with WWAN, BLE, Wi-Fi, LoRa, or GPS RF design.
