Global Legal Counsel (SaaS)

Location: Remote in the United States

Salary: $150,000–$170,000 per year

What you will do

• Draft, review, and negotiate U.S. and international commercial technology agreements, including SaaS subscriptions, cloud services, software licenses, SOWs, implementation agreements, partner, reseller, and OEM contracts.
• Advise business units and leadership on software contracting, commercial risk, licensing, regulatory matters, data privacy, and security requirements.
• Develop and continuously improve contract templates, playbooks, and negotiation guidelines.
• Partner with Sales, Customer Success, Finance, Product, Security, and Compliance teams.
• Manage external counsel relationships and monitor developments in U.S. and international privacy, technology, and commercial law.
• Contribute to internal training, knowledge sharing, and process-improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school and an active license to practice in at least one U.S. state.
• 7+ years of experience in commercial contracting, ideally in a SaaS or broader technology environment.
• Strong knowledge of software, cloud, data, and commercial contract law.
• Understanding of U.S. data privacy requirements, including CCPA/CPRA and state privacy laws; familiarity with GDPR is beneficial.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills with strong business judgment.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail and a practical, solution-oriented mindset.
