Product Counsel (SaaS/Cloud)

Location: Hybrid between the Burlington, Massachusetts headquarters and Raleigh, North Carolina office, United States

Base salary: $120,000–$132,000 per year, plus eligibility for a performance-based annual corporate bonus.

What you will do

• Advise product management, engineering, design, marketing, support, operations, compliance, and business teams on legal, regulatory, and compliance issues related to cloud services.
• Support products throughout their lifecycle, from design and development through marketing, launch, distribution, and related regulatory review.
• Support sales execution by developing, reviewing, and negotiating agreements with customers, partners, and vendors.
• Analyze, structure, draft, and negotiate technology development, licensing, intellectual property, and other commercial agreements.
• Advise on intellectual property, privacy, security, trade compliance, advertising, marketing materials, promotions, and product launch collateral.
• Conduct training for the legal team and internal business teams.

Requirements

• Law degree required.
• At least 5 years of relevant in-house product counsel experience, preferably in the technology sector.
• Experience with software, SaaS, and cloud offerings, including intellectual property, licensing, privacy, and trade compliance.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, communication, organizational, and project management skills.
• Ability to understand technology architectures and communicate effectively with product managers and engineers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; HIPAA compliance experience is highly desired.
