What you will do

• Design chamber structures, layouts, sheet-metal parts, weldments, and mounting details.
• Create and release drawings, bills of material, submittals, print packs, and production design packages.
• Coordinate mechanical designs with refrigeration, electrical, controls, utilities, and facility interfaces.
• Review specifications, quotes, calculations, and design inputs for accuracy and alignment.
• Collaborate with customers, vendors, project managers, internal teams, and Manufacturing.
• Support design reviews, production issues, corrective actions, standardization, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 3–10 years of experience in mechanical design, drafting, or manufacturing.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks and/or PTC Creo for sheet-metal-based models and AutoCAD for layouts and fabrication drawings.
• Experience preparing designs, drawings, bills of material, and production documentation.
• Strong knowledge of sheet metal, fabrication, weldments, tolerances, fastening, and assembly.
• Ability to solve problems independently, manage priorities, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively across teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with PDM and ERP/MRP systems, especially Windchill and SAP.
• Knowledge of environmental test chambers and cabinet design.
• Knowledge of refrigeration, thermodynamics, heat transfer, electrical systems, or equipment integration.
• Experience with engineering changes, production support, corrective actions, or standardization.
