Mechanical Design & Analysis Engineer

Location: Chesterfield, Missouri, United States; hybrid position requiring on-site work three days per week.

What you will do

• Develop customer-specific mechanical designs optimized for technical performance and manufacturability.
• Create 3D models and 2D drawings of products using SolidWorks or Creo.
• Analyze designs with Abaqus FEA, Ansys Forming, and internally developed tools.
• Control item data and lead new item release activities in the Aras database.
• Support design-for-manufacturing, DFMEA, production troubleshooting, and manufacturing capability assessments.
• Collaborate with customers, sales, manufacturing, field application engineers, and internal engineering teams from concept through production.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a technical field.
• 8+ years of design experience and 5+ years of experience with precision metals, board-level shields, and EMI solutions.
• Extensive mechanical design experience and knowledge of manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency with solid-modeling software, preferably Creo or SolidWorks, and experience with engineering or multiphysics tools such as Abaqus, HFSS, or COMSOL.
• Understanding of finite element analysis or finite difference numerical modeling, electronic system architecture, and product development through production.
• Strong communication, time management, customer engagement, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
