Mechanical Engineer II (Packaging Automation)

What you will do

• Plan and design packaging equipment, mechanical components, electromechanical systems, and pneumatic systems.
• Create bills of materials, engineering and fabrication drawings, final assembly drawings, and documentation for installation, training, and operation.
• Maintain the drawing database and process Engineering Change Orders to keep production documentation current.
• Support Purchasing and Production, including prototype fabrication with external vendors.
• Design, conduct, and document R&D experiments; research mechanical equipment, processes, and systems.
• Conduct root cause analysis, modify designs for standards and performance requirements, and provide technical support to manufacturing, sales, service, customers, and suppliers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in machine design and designing for manufacturability.
• Fluent use of Inventor or SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• General knowledge of product handling, machine capabilities, and assembly principles.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must work onsite in Sarasota, Florida, United States and have authorization to work in the United States.
