System Procurement Manager

Location: Hybrid role in Knoxville, Tennessee, United States

What you will do

• Manage procurement activities from project execution through handover to the Warranty Department, including purchase order closure and final invoice or claim settlements.
• Negotiate final account agreements, supplier contracts, and favorable commercial terms with vendors and subcontractors.
• Monitor procurement performance, including savings, overruns, claims, delivery schedules, and quality requirements.
• Coordinate with Expeditors, Supplier Quality Managers, Project Procurement Managers, and cross-functional project teams.
• Lead operational procurement activities, resolve or escalate claims, and represent Supply Chain Management within project teams.
• Identify supplier sources, conduct vendor interviews, and contribute to procurement procedures and process improvements.

Requirements

• More than 5 years of experience in the energy, chemical, or related industry.
• Experience procuring systems and components from suppliers in international and technical environments.
• Experience managing projects of large, medium, or small size.
• Ability to lead multifunctional teams, motivate peers, and communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
• Experience identifying complex problems through standard methods and implementing suitable solutions.
• Commitment to applicable health, safety, and environmental requirements.
