Global Supply Manager, Fluid Systems (Manufacturing)

Location: San Jose, California, United States; hybrid work in the San Jose office with 20–30% domestic and international travel

Base salary: $150,000–$175,000 USD per year in the San Jose Zone

What you will do

• Own global sourcing strategy and supplier selection for process equipment and balance of plant fluid systems.
• Lead RFQs, commercial negotiations, contract terms, supplier qualification, and production ramp activities.
• Manage supplier performance, development, qualification, risk, and continuous improvement across an international supplier network.
• Partner with engineering to translate technical requirements into sourcing strategies and supplier selection criteria.
• Evaluate supplier technical capabilities against engineering specifications and project requirements.
• Track procurement milestones, mitigate supply risks, escalate issues, and maintain cross-functional visibility.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• 8–10 years of experience in sourcing, supply chain, procurement, or supplier management.
• Experience in oil and gas, chemical processing, or other capital-intensive process industries.
• Direct international sourcing experience for process equipment, including supplier negotiation and contract ownership.
• Technical fluency with process equipment and the ability to evaluate engineering specifications and supplier capabilities.
• Experience with procurement program management, supplier risk management, production ramp or NPI environments, project management tools, and product lifecycle management systems.
