Director Sourcing (NPI)

Location: Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA; onsite role with approximately 30% domestic and international travel

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and develop the NPI Sourcing team while setting objectives, managing performance, and supporting succession planning.
• Develop sourcing strategies for new product introduction programs, including material cost, supplier selection, capacity, quality, delivery, and risk mitigation.
• Lead supplier negotiations, total cost of ownership analysis, BOM completion, supplier readiness, PPAP facilitation, and engineering change activities.
• Manage multiple NPI project timelines, budgets, milestones, supplier OTD, quality, costing, and first-pass-yield targets.
• Drive product and material globalization, sourcing standardization, continuous improvement, governance, reporting, and cost-saving initiatives.
• Partner with business groups, commodity management, suppliers, information technology, and executive leadership on product roadmaps and new technology development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• At least 10 years of supply chain experience, including 5 years in an international capacity.
• At least 5 years of project management experience in a lead capacity and 5 years of progressive leadership experience.
• Experience leading teams, negotiating with suppliers, communicating across functions, presenting to upper management, and building supplier and internal relationships.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally approximately 30% of the time.

Nice to have

• Continuous improvement and Six Sigma knowledge.
• Experience with SAP or an equivalent ERP system.
• CPIM, APICS, or equivalent experience in commodity management, materials management, procurement, or project management.
• Multilingual ability.
