EHS Specialist (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Facilitate environmental, health, and safety objectives and provide continuous direction across the manufacturing site.
• Maintain a strong shop-floor presence and act as a primary contact for safety, health, and environmental inquiries.
• Monitor EHS regulations and risk initiatives, assess impacts, and provide compliance guidance to operations leadership.
• Manage environmental processes covering waste management, water discharge, and air permitting requirements.
• Coordinate EHS goals, training, incident reporting, investigations, root cause analysis, and workers’ compensation support.
• Lead behavior-based safety, ergonomic improvement, documentation, vendor contracts, permits, and external consultant activities.

Requirements

• Academic background in industrial engineering, science, safety, or environmental studies; equivalent experience may substitute.
• 7+ years of progressive experience leading safety and/or environmental management systems and processes preferred.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong knowledge of safety and environmental regulations and their application in manufacturing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including knowledge of Lean methodologies.
• Ability to influence activity prioritization and maintain regulatory compliance.
