Senior EHS Specialist (Robotics)

What you will do

• Own and improve EHS policies, procedures, audit programs, safety assurance, and risk assessments across domestic and international facilities.
• Partner with Operations, Facilities, Hardware, and site leadership to integrate safety into workflows, standard operating procedures, depot layouts, and workstation configurations.
• Set safety standards for machinery, equipment, workbenches, soldering environments, PPE, lockout/tagout, and hazardous materials.
• Maintain regulatory documentation, permits, records, reports, and compliance programs; support OSHA, Cal/OSHA, EPA, and local authority inspections.
• Design and deliver practical EHS training for employees, contractors, visitors, technicians, field agents, supervisors, and office staff.
• Lead incident investigations, corrective and preventive actions, emergency planning, drills, and business continuity coordination.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5–7 years of hands-on EHS experience in robotics, manufacturing, warehousing, electronics assembly, or a similar technical operations environment.
• Expertise in California EHS regulations, including Cal/OSHA and Cal/EPA, and strong knowledge of federal OSHA standards.
• Experience with machinery safety, workbench operations, soldering environments, PPE requirements, hazardous materials, and lockout/tagout.
• Experience owning EHS audits, managing findings and corrective actions, investigating incidents, and applying structured root-cause analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
