Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) (FinTech)

Location: Remote - Global

Salary: $115,600–$144,500, $122,400–$153,000, or $136,000–$170,000 USD annually, depending on the designated U.S. compensation tier and primary work location.

What you will do

• Architect, implement, and optimize maintainable automated test frameworks for complex product areas.
• Design and maintain automated API, UI, and integration test suites.
• Lead test strategy, risk analysis, test architecture, and release planning for major features and systems.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and improve coverage, efficiency, and quality metrics.
• Investigate complex defects and production issues through debugging and root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and quality leaders while mentoring junior SDETs and QA team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in software development and test automation.
• Advanced proficiency in multiple programming languages and test automation frameworks, including tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or RestAssured.
• Strong expertise in API, UI, and integration testing, CI/CD integration, test strategy, risk analysis, and test architecture.
• Advanced debugging, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills, with solid database knowledge and advanced SQL.
• Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as DataDog or NewRelic, plus strong communication and mentorship skills.
