BSL III HVAC Technician - 2nd Shift (HVAC)

Location: Swiftwater, Pennsylvania, United States; onsite. Second shift is Tuesday–Saturday, 3:00 p.m.–11:30 p.m., with holidays, weekends, and mandatory overtime as required.

Salary: $27.60–$36.80 per hour.

What you will do

• Design, install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair site-wide HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and process equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance in GMP, GLP, and non-GMP areas supporting a 24/7 BSL III production environment.
• Maintain equipment including cold boxes, freezers, autoclaves, chillers, temperature control units, pumps, motors, valves, piping, air handling units, and water systems.
• Execute maintenance work safely using permits, lockout/tagout, and other HSE procedures.
• Document work orders accurately and completely while supporting continuous improvement and equipment uptime.
• Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, HSE, manufacturing, R&D, MSAT, contractors, and other support groups.

Requirements

• Associate or bachelor’s degree plus 2+ years of equipment maintenance experience, or high school diploma/GED plus 5+ years of experience.
• In-depth equipment knowledge, strong troubleshooting skills, and an understanding of precision maintenance concepts.
• Strong electrical knowledge, including DC controls, single-phase and three-phase systems up to 480V, and electromechanical troubleshooting.
• Ability to read schematics and blueprints and work with VFDs, VAVs, steam systems, JCI Metasys, MS Office, and SAP.
• Must support 24/7 coverage of the BSL III facility and participate in the Medical Surveillance Program.
• Must participate in FBI clearances and pass and maintain N95 and full-face respirator certification.
