Engineering Technician IV - (T4) 2nd Shift

What you will do

• Design, test, assemble, modify, and troubleshoot complex electronic and electromechanical systems, prototype models, test equipment, tools, and fixtures.
• Diagnose system- and component-level issues in electrical and mechanical subsystems with minimal supervision.
• Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, vacuum, and process testing on hirify.global platforms.
• Support new system installations, NPI activities, field upgrades, procedure development, and technical documentation.
• Investigate problems, compile data, recommend product or manufacturing improvements, and write technical reports and test procedures.
• Train lower-level Engineering Technicians and provide technical guidance as a platform or product resource, potentially serving as a Quality Lead.

Requirements

• Advanced specialized expertise in an analytical or scientific technical area and strong understanding of manufacturing and engineering processes.
• Proficiency troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, vacuum, and process systems.
• Ability to work with limited documentation, solve complex problems, and communicate effectively across departments.
• Ability to work onsite in Austin, Texas, on the second shift.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including prolonged standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, lifting, working in tight spaces, and operating hand and power tools or forklifts.
• Ability to work in clean-room environments and use required personal protective equipment; color vision and tolerance for potentially high noise levels are required.
