Sr. Manager of Production Planning & Scheduling (Manufacturing)

Salary: $80,000–$175,000 per year, plus equity

What you will do

• Own discrete production scheduling, job sequencing, work-order release, priorities, and milestone dates across work centers.
• Translate S&OP allocation and capacity plans into executable factory schedules and maintain accurate MRP schedule data.
• Build daily and weekly scheduling cadence, standard work, communication routines, escalation paths, and visual management systems.
• Track work-order progress, identify at-risk jobs, drive recovery actions, and own on-time delivery performance.
• Analyze execution data to identify constraints, bottlenecks, cycle-time issues, and capacity improvement opportunities.
• Lead, coach, and develop production planners and schedulers as the function scales across sites.

Requirements

• Experience in production planning, scheduling, or shop-floor operations management in a discrete manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of production scheduling, sequencing, priority management, master scheduling, capacity and constraint analysis, and on-time delivery drivers.
• Hands-on experience with scheduling, ERP, or MES systems, including ERP/MRP mechanics, work-order lifecycle, and schedule data integrity.
• Strong analytical, data visualization, communication, and facilitation skills.
• Experience leading teams and developing planning or scheduling talent.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing operations; a relevant bachelor’s degree is preferred.

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, Finance, or a related discipline.
