Material Program Manager (Aerospace)

Location: El Segundo, California, United States; onsite role

Salary: $110,000–$140,000 base compensation annually, excluding bonuses, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Own material planning and execution for advanced product-development programs from early development through delivery.
• Translate engineering requirements and program schedules into sourcing, procurement, and supplier management plans.
• Develop RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs; evaluate supplier pricing, lead times, and commercial terms.
• Convert approved material needs into purchase requisitions and manage them through purchase order placement.
• Identify, escalate, and resolve material risks affecting cost, schedule, quality, or performance.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, production control, finance, operations, and program leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 3+ years of relevant experience; equivalent combinations considered.
• Experience in supply chain, production control, material planning, procurement, or a related discipline.
• Working proficiency with an ERP or MRP system and understanding of supply-and-demand planning, requisitions, purchase orders, and supplier management.
• Ability to manage shifting priorities and work effectively in a matrixed product-development environment.
• Strong written, verbal, analytical, and cross-functional communication skills.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain any security clearance required; U.S. citizenship may be required depending on program or clearance requirements.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or MBA in finance, supply chain management, or a related field.
• Experience in aerospace, defense, regulated manufacturing, rapid prototyping, or fast-moving product development.
• Experience developing material program strategy, managing supplier selection and onboarding, and evaluating supplier performance.
• Knowledge of supplier statements of work, contract requirements, material requirements planning, and logistics coordination.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
