Legal Counsel - 12 Month FTC (Fintech)

Base salary: £71,200–£106,800 per year

What you will do

• Review and negotiate customer, partnership, and supplier contracts with pragmatic commercial support.
• Advise teams across the business on a broad range of legal and quasi-legal matters.
• Support projects such as rolling out new legal templates.
• Build and maintain self-help tools, playbooks, and legal guides.
• Improve high-volume legal processes, including contracting automation and management workflows.
• Contribute to team-wide initiatives and forward-thinking legal-risk controls.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of post-qualification experience with private-practice training and/or in-house experience.
• Experience working independently in a fast-paced environment and applying legal knowledge across varied areas.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain complex legal concepts in clear English.
• Experience using Legal AI tools.
• Interest in technology, tools, project management, and operational efficiency.
• Ability to work in or be based in London, UK.

Nice to have

• Spanish language skills.
• Knowledge of FCA requirements or payment services.
• Experience selling or supporting SaaS solutions.
