Senior Java / Kotlin Developer

Location: Oslo, Norway; hybrid. Currently based in Oslo and Norwegian citizenship are required.

What you will do

• Build and develop modern, scalable backend systems using Java and Kotlin.
• Develop high-quality services with Spring and Spring Boot.
• Work in a modern cloud-native environment.
• Collaborate with experienced engineers on technical solutions.
• Contribute to service ownership, architecture, and technical decision-making.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong experience with Java and/or Kotlin and Spring/Spring Boot.
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle.
• Experience with Kafka, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Native or fluent Norwegian is required.
• Current residence in Oslo and Norwegian citizenship are required.

Nice to have

• Experience building highly scalable backend systems.
• Strong understanding of microservices and distributed architectures.
• Experience working in cloud-native environments.
• Experience taking ownership of services from development through production.
• Comfort contributing to architecture and technical decision-making.
