Software Engineering Group Manager (Site Reliability Engineering)

Location: United States; based in a hirify.global technology office in Pittsburgh, Dallas, Strongsville, Phoenix, Birmingham, or Denver, with weekly office attendance required

Base salary: $160,000–$298,870 per year, plus incentive eligibility

What you will do

• Lead multiple development projects, development groups, and application support functions for a major business segment.
• Provide technical leadership for production support and act as an escalation point for complex incidents.
• Guide troubleshooting across applications, Linux and Windows infrastructure, Oracle and SQL databases, middleware, and integrations.
• Improve monitoring, observability, logging, metrics, service performance, and operational resiliency.
• Oversee batch and ETL monitoring and recovery processes while reducing operational toil through automation.
• Lead on-call response for critical production services, major incidents, and customer-impacting events, including after-hours coverage.

Requirements

• Typically 8+ years of industry-relevant experience and at least 5 years of management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or a comparable combination of education, certifications, and experience.
• Proven leadership experience with moderate to large scope of responsibility.
• Experience with software development, SDLC, system design, technical architecture, quality assurance, and version control.
• Strong communication, project management, stakeholder management, and team leadership skills.
• Must work from a designated hirify.global technology office and be available for after-hours, weekend, holiday, and on-call support as required.
