Lead Site Reliability Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote Kentucky, United States; occasional travel to hirify.global offices for training or meetings may be required.

Salary: $117,600–$161,700 per year, plus eligibility for a performance-based bonus incentive plan.

What you will do

• Maintain, integrate, and implement software applications across the organization.
• Coordinate application testing, quality assurance, configuration, installation, and production support.
• Establish and maintain controls for test and production systems and software source code.
• Lead high-severity incident and service restoration bridge calls, coordinating technical teams and senior leadership.
• Perform root cause analysis across a broad range of technologies in a large, multi-system production environment supporting pharmacy operations.
• Advise executives on functional strategies and make independent decisions on complex technical issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• At least 8 years of experience in information technology, SRE, DevOps, or platform engineering.
• At least 2 years of project or technical leadership experience.
• Experience leading critical incident response, coordinating communication, managing stakeholder expectations, and driving service restoration.
• Experience with root cause analysis in large, multi-system production environments.
• Understanding and practical experience with generative and agentic AI tools; availability for occasional or weekend escalations is required.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree.
• Healthcare or pharmacy domain knowledge.
• Experience with .NET, Java, TypeScript, SQL Server, Oracle Database, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Kubernetes, Temporal, or similar technologies.
• Experience with Agile SDLC, Scrum, Dynatrace, and Splunk.
