Compliance Technology Intern (Python/SQL)

Salary: $182,000 annual base salary for Master's students or $234,000 annual base salary for PhD students

What you will do

• Translate compliance policies and regulatory requirements into technical designs with senior engineers and Compliance stakeholders.
• Build an end-to-end internal monitoring or compliance reporting project for the 2027 roadmap.
• Develop data ingestion pipelines using internal databases, files, and APIs.
• Implement rules or metrics engines, dashboards, and web interfaces for compliance users.
• Write tested production-quality code, validate automated results against manual processes, and support auditability.
• Present progress, demos, documentation, and final recommendations to Compliance and Technology leadership.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, with expected graduation in 2028.
• Proficiency in Python or another general-purpose language such as Java or C#.
• Familiarity with SQL and relational databases.
• Experience with Git and a solid understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a willingness to learn quickly.
• Role based in New York, United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with React, TypeScript, another front-end framework, or REST APIs.
• Familiarity with Snowflake, Postgres, MySQL, or AWS.
• Exposure to Docker or CI/CD pipelines.
• Prior internship or substantial personal or academic project experience.
• Interest in financial markets, trading systems, or regulatory technology.
