Mainframe Systems Admin

Location: Charlotte, NC, United States; hybrid schedule with 3 days onsite

What you will do

• Install, configure, and support Unisys ClearPath Libra hardware and MCP software environments.
• Manage OPS console, System Editor, OC Manager, network connectivity, and storage connectivity.
• Integrate Windows servers, Linux servers, and Unisys mainframe environments.
• Support system programming involving table and bit manipulation, messaging, queuing, databases, and disk I/O.
• Analyze system and program dumps, logs, TCP/IP routing, Libra network configuration, and Win RPC.
• Coordinate with Operations, Technology, and Development teams on performance, security, patching, modernization, and incident documentation.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with Unisys ClearPath Libra/MCP systems, including hardware installation and configuration.
• Experience installing and configuring Unisys ClearPath Software Series VM.
• Knowledge of Windows, Linux, and Unisys mainframe integration.
• System programming experience with messaging, queuing, database management, and disk I/O.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP routing, Libra network configuration, Win RPC, dump interpretation, and log analysis.
• Ability to work onsite in Charlotte three days per week; a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with DMSII, COMS, CCF, Security Center, System Assistant, NX/Services, OLEDB, Secure-Transport, and Log Analyzer.
• Knowledge of EMC SAN arrays and Cisco MDS switching.
• Cloud computing experience with AWS or Microsoft Azure.
