Client Solution Software Engineer (Telecommunications)

Location: Chicago, United States; hybrid with at least 3 days onsite per week. Candidates must currently be located in the Greater Chicago area.

Salary: USD $65,000–$75,000 per year

What you will do

• Deploy, configure, upgrade, and support software solutions in customer environments.
• Design and recommend system architectures and deployment models.
• Provide technical support across system integration, databases, licensing, infrastructure, and cloud platforms.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts for deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Deliver customer administration and technical training.
• Support pre-sales and post-sales activities, including evaluations, proofs of concept, installations, and production support.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in system administration, software deployment, infrastructure support, or database administration.
• Experience with virtualized environments and strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms, particularly AWS.
• Scripting experience with PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work directly with customers across infrastructure, software, database, and cloud topics.

Nice to have

• Experience with enterprise software deployment and support.
• Knowledge of automation platforms and workflow orchestration.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Previous customer-facing or consulting experience.
