AWS Windows Infrastructure Engineer

Location: 100% remote for US-based candidates; availability required during 8am–5pm ET core business hours. Must be eligible to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

What you will do

• Automate Windows Server configuration, deployment, patching, inventory, and operational tasks using Ansible, PowerShell, and AWS Systems Manager.
• Update Windows Server 2016 baselines for Windows Server 2019 or 2025 and remediate configuration drift.
• Build hardened Windows AMIs and automate EC2 provisioning, backups, snapshots, validation, and rollback for phased upgrade waves.
• Automate OS hardening and compliance checks using DISA STIGs, CIS Benchmarks, and Group Policy.
• Automate certificate installation and renewal and integrate Windows infrastructure automation into Jenkins or GitHub CI/CD pipelines.
• Document configurations and runbooks in Confluence and track delivery in Jira.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of relevant experience, or equivalent experience requirements based on an Associate’s degree or high school diploma.
• Hands-on experience with Windows Server automation using Ansible, PowerShell DSC, or similar tools, plus advanced PowerShell scripting.
• Experience supporting Windows Server 2016 to 2019 or 2025 upgrades or migrations in AWS.
• Working knowledge of AWS services including EC2, AMIs, VPC, Systems Manager, and EBS snapshots.
• Strong Windows Server administration skills across Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, certificates, and patching.
• Experience with infrastructure as code or image-building tools, Git-based version control, and CI/CD pipelines in an Agile DevSecOps environment.

Nice to have

• Microsoft Windows Server or AWS certification.
• Experience with CyberArk, Group Policy software deployment, Windows IIS, or Power BI Gateway.
• Experience supporting federal systems with audit and vulnerability management.
