Director, Assistant General Counsel - Pharmacy Services

Location: Remote, U.S.-based; listed locations include Pittsburgh, Dallas, and St. Petersburg. Up to 10% travel for stakeholder and legal team meetings.

Base compensation: $176,634–$245,000 annually.

What you will do

• Advise sales and business leaders on commercial strategy, deal velocity, and negotiation best practices.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts and ecosystem agreements, including reseller and software licensing contracts.
• Develop customer-facing terms for new and enhanced pharmacy offerings.
• Collaborate with privacy, data governance, AI, product, operations, finance, quality, compliance, revenue, and sales stakeholders during due diligence and commercialization.
• Coordinate legal workflows, resources, processes, and technology solutions to improve team output.
• Lead, motivate, and develop attorneys and legal professionals while training sales and business stakeholders.

Requirements

• J.D. degree and active membership in good standing of a state bar.
• 10+ years of experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial contracts, professional service contracts, and consultant contracts.
• 10+ years of experience collaborating with internal stakeholders in contract negotiations.
• 5+ years of experience in pharmacy, specialty pharmacy, or a pharmacy-adjacent industry.
• Strong working knowledge of HIPAA, HITECH, and state-level privacy laws and regulations.
• Ability to analyze complex legal and business ecosystems, provide pragmatic advice, lead cross-functional teams, and develop scalable legal workflows and automated solutions.

Nice to have

• Experience contracting with pharmacy benefit managers, payer organizations, or pharmaceutical manufacturers.
• Experience in highly regulated industries or publicly traded companies.
