Workers' Compensation Training Specialist (Insurance)

Location: Lisle, Illinois, United States; hybrid schedule with two onsite days at one of the offices and travel of up to 10–25% depending on geographic location.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain the workers' compensation onboarding program for claim professionals.
• Create and update curricula, job aids, facilitator guides, and reference materials for the Adjuster Development Program.
• Develop continuous learning programs covering claim handling, reserving, medical management, litigation, negotiation, communication, and service.
• Analyze audit results and performance trends to identify skill gaps and create improvement action plans.
• Define success measures, evaluate knowledge transfer and business impact, and improve training programs.
• Collaborate with claims leaders and stakeholders, coach program participants, and support claims-related initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 5 years of workers' compensation claim handling experience, including litigated and complex claims across multiple jurisdictions.
• Technical knowledge of workers' compensation practices, applicable laws and regulations, reserving, medical management, litigation management, and claim resolution.
• Strong facilitation, presentation, coaching, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to manage multiple priorities and documentation independently.
• Ability to work in the hybrid office arrangement and travel up to 10–25%.
