Senior Director, Revenue (Quantum Computing)

Location: College Park, Maryland, United States; onsite or hybrid, with a fully remote option available for the right candidate. U.S. Person or equivalent U.S. immigration status is required for export controls and government contracts work.

Base salary: $220,000–$275,000 per year, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Develop revenue strategy and policy for quantum products, hardware builds, manufacturing streams, and commercial contracts.
• Build and lead a growing revenue team, including Managers and Senior Managers.
• Own revenue recognition for complex, multi-year hardware and manufacturing arrangements using ASC 606, percentage-of-completion, cost-to-cost models, and estimate-at-completion reviews.
• Partner with Sales, Deal Desk, Legal, Finance, Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain to structure deals and support accurate revenue recognition.
• Lead external auditor relationships, technical accounting memos, SOX documentation, and revenue materials for executive and Audit Committee review.
• Lead revenue due diligence and contract integration for M&A, while improving automation across NetSuite and CRM systems.

Requirements

• 13+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, including several years at Director or Senior Director level owning a revenue or technical accounting function.
• Experience in a publicly traded technology, aerospace/defense, or hardware manufacturing company.
• Deep expertise in ASC 606, multiple-element arrangements, point-in-time and over-time recognition, and cost-to-cost input models.
• Experience leading Managers or Senior Managers and scaling a multi-person revenue function.
• Proven ability to advise and influence Sales, Legal, and Finance leadership on complex accounting matters.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and a CPA license required; MBA or advanced degree is an advantage.

Nice to have

• Director-level or above experience at a semiconductor, computing component, or Tier 1 government contractor.
• Big 4 audit or technical accounting advisory background.
• Familiarity with quantum computing and the ability to learn technical concepts.
