Principal Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Dublin, Ohio, United States; hybrid with three days per week on-site

What you will do

• Set technical direction for Resource Sharing engineering initiatives and deliver reliable, scalable software solutions.
• Translate architectural guidance into practical implementation plans and scalable designs.
• Lead development involving distributed systems, microservices, APIs, integrations, and data platforms.
• Evaluate technical trade-offs, risks, dependencies, security, maintainability, and operational requirements.
• Mentor engineers and promote strong engineering, delivery, testing, and operational practices.
• Partner with product, engineering leadership, architects, and domain experts to shape roadmaps and delivery priorities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 12+ years of professional software development experience delivering complex enterprise systems.
• Expert Java skills with object-oriented design, design patterns, Spring, Hibernate, RESTful APIs, and web services.
• Experience with React, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, distributed systems, microservices, and Linux/Unix environments.
• Experience with Git, Bitbucket, GitHub, CI/CD, JUnit, Mockito, Gradle, Maven, automated testing, and secure software development.
• Hybrid work in Dublin, Ohio, with three days per week on-site; normal office environment.

• Experience integrating or evaluating AI tools, frameworks, and concepts in the software development lifecycle.
