Architectural Designer IV (PreK-12)

Location: San Francisco, California, United States; hybrid work environment with regular in-office days and travel to project sites in the San Francisco and Sacramento areas.

Salary: $115,000–$155,000 annually

What you will do

• Lead architectural scopes for small and large PreK-12 projects from schematic design through construction administration.
• Create and manage discipline work plans and coordinated construction documents.
• Coordinate architects, engineers, consultants, production teams, school districts, and regulatory agencies.
• Manage permitting and regulatory reviews with Authorities Having Jurisdiction.
• Lead construction administration, including RFIs, submittals, field reports, and contractor coordination.
• Mentor junior staff and support firm-wide quality and professional development efforts.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Architecture or a 4-year architecture degree.
• At least 8 years of professional experience with a technical delivery focus.
• Required experience with PreK-12 educational facilities and Division of the State Architect requirements.
• Ability to travel to project sites and attend client, project, and construction meetings.
• Experience preparing technically clear, code-compliant construction documents under an architect’s supervision.
• Commitment to Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion principles.

• LEED Accreditation.
• Proficiency in Revit.
• Experience with Revizto for 3D coordination.
• Experience with UpCodes and RIB Speclink.
