Human Resource Director (Beauty)

Location: New York, New York, United States; onsite, not remote

Salary: $135,000–$150,000 per year, depending on experience

What you will do

• Develop and implement HR strategies and procedures covering hiring, training, office management, and employee engagement.
• Lead hiring, onboarding, training, employee relations, disciplinary and grievance procedures.
• Partner with the General Manager and leadership on performance plans, employee reviews, morale, productivity, and retention.
• Manage payroll processes, employee benefits, expenses, and HR data confidentiality.
• Maintain HR policies and proactively address federal, state, and local compliance requirements.
• Provide administrative support to the General Manager and stay current with HR best practices.

Requirements

• Proven management experience with strong leadership and motivation skills.
• Experience implementing human resources policies and procedures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to interact professionally with staff and partners at all levels.
• Positive, proactive, and highly motivated professional attitude.
