Senior Solutions Engineer - Seattle

Location: Remote position requiring residency in Washington State, preferably in the greater Seattle area. Candidates elsewhere in Washington must be willing and able to travel regularly to customers and partners in Seattle and the surrounding region. Candidates outside this region will be disqualified.

Salary: USD 197,200–255,200 target annual earnings, consisting of base salary and potential commission.

What you will do

• Partner with Commercial Account Managers to develop territory strategies, qualify opportunities, build pipeline, and win new and existing customer business.
• Lead discovery, presentations, whiteboarding sessions, and demonstrations that connect technical capabilities to customer value.
• Build relationships with customer technical teams, channel partners, and partner Solutions Engineers.
• Design, position, and configure storage and data infrastructure solutions spanning SAN, NAS, block, file, hybrid cloud, and data protection.
• Guide technical buying decisions by addressing objections, differentiating solutions, and defining validation plans and success criteria.
• Identify modernization, cyber resiliency, and expansion opportunities while managing multiple evaluations, configurations, and quoting activities.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in technical presales, solutions engineering, systems engineering, or a customer-facing infrastructure role.
• Deep understanding of enterprise infrastructure, including how systems are designed, integrated, operated, and protected.
• Experience with storage or related areas such as virtualization, compute, networking, backup, and recovery; familiarity with SAN, NAS, block, and file architectures is preferred.
• Strong discovery, communication, storytelling, and technical relationship-building skills.
• Ability to translate customer requirements into practical solutions, explain tradeoffs, and connect recommendations to business outcomes.
• Must reside in Washington State and be able to travel regularly to customers and partners in the Seattle region.
