Senior Solutions Engineer, Enterprise (Networking/Security)

Location: Remote (United States); occasional travel of approximately 10–20% for customer meetings, workshops, and internal collaboration.

Target OTE: $250,000–$300,000 USD annually, including base salary and variable compensation tied to quarterly sales targets.

What you will do

• Partner with Account Executives to qualify, advance, and close enterprise new-business and expansion opportunities.
• Lead technical discovery, solution architecture, customized demonstrations, and proofs-of-concept.
• Design hybrid, multi-cloud, and on-premises architectures using identity-based access and secure connectivity patterns.
• Position hirify.global PAM, session recording, and Aperture as an AI gateway for LLM and API access.
• Guide implementation and early adoption while collaborating with Customer Success and advising networking, security, platform, and IT stakeholders.
• Support security reviews, provide enterprise feedback to Product and Engineering, and build reusable demos, blueprints, and enablement assets.

Requirements

• 5–7+ years of experience in a customer-facing Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, or Solutions Architect role in networking, security, infrastructure, or enterprise software.
• Experience co-owning sales pipeline and quota outcomes for new business and expansion opportunities.
• Strong knowledge of zero-trust networking, secure connectivity, IAM integrations, SSO, SAML, OIDC, and SCIM.
• Strong networking fundamentals covering TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls, NAT traversal, TLS/HTTPS, and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with Linux and macOS or Windows, AWS, GCP, or Azure, hybrid environments, and Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform.
• Experience running enterprise technical evaluations, demonstrations, and proofs-of-concept, with clear communication to technical and executive audiences.

Nice to have

• Experience with zero-trust, SASE, ZTNA, VPN, PAM, secure networking, WireGuard, or mesh networking.
• Knowledge of privileged access patterns, session recording, least-privilege access, AI gateways, LLM governance, MCP/API proxying, or model-provider key management.
• Scripting or automation experience with Python, Bash, Go, or similar technologies.
• Experience with security reviews, architecture diligence, SOC 2, HIPAA, or PCI discussions in pre-sales contexts.
• Experience creating reusable architectures, demo environments, or Solutions Engineering playbooks.
