Principal Product Designer (German-speaking) — Core Experience (Remote in Europe)

What you will do

• Set the design direction for the Core Experience used across the platform.
• Own design across the full product lifecycle, from discovery and problem framing through implementation, QA, and polish.
• Translate complex fintech and SMB workflows into clear, user-centered experiences using research, product data, and customer feedback.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, Analysts, Researchers, and Designers to define outcomes and ship high-quality solutions.
• Create flows, wireframes, prototypes, high-fidelity mockups, and product specifications.
• Improve the design system, accessibility, scalability, consistency, and overall product quality bar.

Requirements

• 5+ years of product design experience, including experience setting direction beyond individual deliverables.
• A portfolio demonstrating strong craft and clear, defensible design reasoning.
• Hands-on experience designing native iOS and Android products.
• Experience designing complex, multi-state platforms involving permissions, edge cases, and cross-team dependencies.
• Ability to challenge and respond to Product, Engineering, and Research perspectives using data and business context.
• Fluent professional English required.

Nice to have

• Fintech industry experience.
• German fluency or experience designing for German-speaking users.
• Use of AI tools for rapid prototyping or research synthesis.
