Product Designer (AI) – 12 Month FTC

Location: London, UK. Hybrid working requires at least two days per week, or 40% of working time, at an office site.

Salary: £72,702–£80,780 per year.

What you will do

• Design customer and colleague experiences across complex commercial lending journeys, from exploration and eligibility through application, fulfilment, and servicing.
• Translate complex processes, policies, customer needs, and technical constraints into clear journeys, interactions, and interfaces.
• Create user flows, concepts, wireframes, and high-fidelity prototypes in Figma and other prototyping tools.
• Use customer research, usability testing, analytics, and experimentation to improve designs.
• Facilitate workshops, design sprints, critiques, and collaborative sessions with Product, Engineering, Content, Research, and subject-matter specialists.
• Experiment with generative AI, agentic workflows, MCP, GitHub, and Git to improve research synthesis, ideation, prototyping, iteration, and repeatability of design workflows.

Requirements

• Strong experience as a Product Designer, UX Designer, or Interaction Designer working on digital products or services.
• Excellent interaction design, user-flow, wireframing, and prototyping skills, with strong hands-on Figma capability.
• Experience taking design problems from discovery and concept development through detailed design and delivery.
• Experience using AI in the design workflow and applying design judgement to evaluate and improve AI-generated outputs.
• Strong understanding of human-centred, evidence-led, accessible, and inclusive design.
• Experience collaborating in multidisciplinary Product and Engineering teams and clearly explaining design decisions.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial services, lending, fintech, or another regulated environment.
• Experience creating agentic AI or MCP-enabled workflows.
• Working knowledge of GitHub and Git, design systems, usability testing, experimentation, or rapid prototyping.
• Experience designing complex application, eligibility, decisioning, consent, documentation, or fulfilment journeys.
• Experience building reusable AI prompts, workflows, or agents.
