Software Engineer III (Node.js)

Location: Hybrid work from the Stockholm office, Stockholm, Sweden

Salary: SEK 50,500–75,500 per month, depending on experience

Sinch provides a Customer Communications Cloud with mobile messaging, voice, email, APIs, and applications for business customer engagement.

What you will do

• Build and maintain backend services and REST APIs using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Design and work with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL.
• Develop and deploy microservices on Kubernetes with Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
• Contribute to distributed systems supporting customer sign-up and KYC verification.
• Write tested, maintainable code, participate in code reviews, and improve code quality.
• Own features from design through production using a build-ship-run approach.

Requirements

• 3–4+ years of backend development experience.
• Experience with Node.js, REST APIs, SQL databases, Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with distributed systems and microservices.
• Knowledge of Git, code reviews, pull requests, clean code, and basic design patterns.
• Ability to work independently and communicate clearly in spoken and written English.
• Willingness to work in a hybrid setup from the Stockholm office.

Nice to have

• Experience with Java, Spring, or Spring Boot.
• Event-driven development with RabbitMQ or Kafka.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
