What you will do

• Design and ship LLM-powered features from prompt architecture through production monitoring.
• Build and maintain agentic pipelines with orchestration, tool use, parallelisation, and failure handling.
• Define evaluation methods, metrics, experiments, quality thresholds, and release criteria.
• Identify technical product opportunities and scope work independently.
• Choose model providers and optimize AI features for cost, latency, and capability.
• Write production code that supports the engineering team.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience shipping LLM-powered features to real users, including prompt engineering, output parsing, evaluation, and cost and latency tradeoffs.
• Experience designing and operating agentic pipelines with orchestration, tool use, parallelisation, and failure handling.
• Strong backend fundamentals in Node.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, and event-driven systems.
• Experience optimizing LLM-powered features for cost and performance.
• Ability to scope work, run experiments, make pragmatic shipping decisions, and operate in ambiguity.
• Clear communication with non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with GraphQL, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, React, and event-driven microservices.
• Interest in understanding the product context behind technical decisions.
