Software Engineer (Go)

Location: Oslo, Norway; this is not a remote role, with limited flexibility to work from home when needed. Candidates must have the right to work in Norway.

What you will do

• Drive Kubernetes adoption and support migrations from existing services.
• Shape the architecture, tooling, and operational practices for production services.
• Build and operate software at scale while considering performance, security, and cost.
• Develop and improve a globally distributed calling platform based on microservices.
• Participate in an on-call rotation supporting the platform.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer.
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent education.
• Strong experience building and operating production services at scale.
• Hands-on experience migrating services to Kubernetes.
• Practical experience deploying, monitoring, and troubleshooting distributed cloud services.
• Strong understanding of computer networking and a willingness to share knowledge.

Nice to have

• Experience with Go, Google Cloud Platform, GitOps, and ArgoCD.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions, and Terraform.
• Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, MySQL, Redis, or Cassandra.
