Postdoctoral Research Assistant

Texas A&M University Health Science Center conducts academic health research through the Center for Health & Nature and the Human Behavior Laboratory.

What you will do

• Conduct research in experimental psychology, neuropsychology, neuroeconomics, and related fields.
• Design, implement, and conduct studies and experiments focused on health, nature contact, responsive agriculture, and behavioral topics.
• Manage the day-to-day operations of funded research studies, including workflows, scheduling, and participant recruitment.
• Oversee research hardware and software operations in the Human Behavior Laboratory.
• Prepare presentations and technical progress reports for research sponsors.
• Mentor or supervise student researchers and monitor research assistants.

Requirements

• PhD in psychology with an emphasis on applied research or a related social science field.
• Demonstrated record of research achievement.
• Ability to conduct research with human participants.
• Strong written, oral, interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills.
• Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.

Nice to have

• Experience using biosensors, including eye tracking, facial-expression analysis, and galvanic skin response.
• Experience working with human health research.
