What you will do

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in science education and related areas.
• Contribute to educator preparation, program development, and certification-focused instruction.
• Mentor, supervise, and advise students across undergraduate and graduate programs.
• Establish an active research and scholarly agenda, including publications, presentations, and external funding activity.
• Collaborate with educational partners and contribute service to the department, college, university, and profession.

Requirements

• Doctoral degree in Science Education, Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Science Education, or a closely related field; advanced ABD candidates may be considered if the degree is conferred by appointment.
• At least 18 graduate credit hours in Science Education or a related area.
• Familiarity with educator preparation and certification standards.
• Evidence of an emerging research record.
• Ability to work in person in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Nice to have

• Three or more years of PK-12 science teaching experience.
• Professional organization membership and active involvement.
• Scholarly research and publication in science education.
• University-level teaching, mentoring, supervision, or advising experience.
• Experience with instructional technology and online course development.
